In Construction - Milton St
The exterior restoration of this 19th century townhouse in the Greenpoint Historic District in Brooklyn is to be done in two phases. The first phase, which has been completed, involved the restoration of the mansard roof, upper cornices, and dormer windows, as well as the main entry door and decorative overhead canopy. Care was taken to match the original historic fabric seen in the building's tax photo. Existing details from surrounding buildings, including some original woodwork found hidden in the attached neighbor's roof, were used to model details and woodwork around the windows and door. The second phase of the project will include the restoration of the front facade's bay window and balcony.
