Loft - Noho
This top floor duplex, built in a former hat factory, has four exposures including windows that offer majestic city views to the north and south.
For the new design, finely crafted cherry wood details were used in all transitions between planes and surfaces. The ceiling is edged with cherry wood, accentuating the transition between ceiling and wall, and the same is true where the wall meets the floor. Cherry wood details also adorn the door jambs and cabinet partitions.
Cabinets and bookcases were built into the partitions creating a double function of privacy and storage.
On the roof a 250 square foot writing studio was added as well as an outdoor garden terrace.
